Bloodshot started with Jake snake and his brother Joe in the summer 98. It started with Jake playing in and out of other small local bands for a while, but was never happy with the bands he was playing with. So one day Joe decided to pick up a drum set for him self at a local pawn shop. Joe had previously played drums a few years before but there was no punk bands forming at the time . So Jake & Joe took it upon themselves to form their own band.

Then later in the summer of 98 the band hooked up with their skater friend Tony who had played with other local bands but didn't like what he was playing.and so with the arrival of Tony Bloodshot became an actual three piece band. Tony played some shows with us for about a year then in 99  Tony left to pursue diffrent musical interests. A few months went by and then a good friend of ours John Laws , Hawaiian native, joined the band. John added a different sound to the band also the line up changed, Jake who was playing bass changed to playing guitar and john would take over bass and Joe would stay on drums. We played many shows with John but out of nowhere john retreated home to pursue school (I think).

Soon came the summer of 2000 when another old friend of ours Damien decided to take up the bass were John had left off. So, for a while the three piece was doing shows around San Antonio. Then the band had another line up change, our death metal friend Zach came along and was playing lead guitar which added more aggresion to the sound . Then the band recruited another guitarist, Gabe to play rhythm. So now with Joe on drums, Damien on bass , Zach on lead, Gabe on rhythm,Jake was able to concentrate more on his vocal style. 

With Bloodshot as a five piece band we were able to play more shows at local clubs like Taco Land,The White Rabbit,Sams Burger Joint,Club Irie Vibes,The Generator,Rusty Nail Saloon,Hill Boys Skate Shop,Strutters,Sin 13,and a couple of parties and a few shows in Austin.
